I thought about playing one of the premade hoods, but though "Huh, I don't think I've built my own hood from scratch in a very long time. I'll do that!" But that would be boring in itself because I like challenges and couldn't for the life of me stick to the rules of that building one. So instead each family will have their own challenge. They will be played weekly (Sims time not real time) so that hopefully they will all age and do things around the same time. The challenges will be picked as I go and the rules.... well we all know what I feel about rules... will be followed (cough, cough) as much as possible!
My first resident of Arcadia Valley is Raelynn Hathaway, Rae for short. Oh yes, and excuse my wonderful picture taking skills! I am still getting used to the camera again and how small the pictures are. You'll see plumbobs, thought bubbles and even sky! I am that good! Warning now, I haven't played Sims 2 in years! Years and years, like at least five of those! So I am majorly rusty and still getting the hang of it all.
Anyways... meet Rae! The start of our fun!
Rae: Hi, how are ya?
She's not much of a talker yet. I think her shyness is coming out. Rae is a family Sims with the personality... personality right, not traits? Sheesh, trying to get this lingo correct and remember what everything is hurts my brain. She has these points 4/5/6/4/6 and is a Cancer. Her LTW is to Graduate Three Children From College. She likes muscles and cologne and doesn't really prefer her men with make-up, not sure why! Have you seen Adam Lambert? Yummy! Rae had the wonderful luck of rolling the Uglacy challenge! This was one of my favorite challenges in Sims 2. Not so much in Sims 3 because well, how ugly do they actually get in there without help from us? Will I be following the exact rules of the legacy rules? Probably not, more this is to breed in the ugly! Where the hell is Nervous when I need him?! I love that Sim!
I built her a little house with the little money she had. It is craptacular and will be getting an upgrade when the money starts rolling in. It matches her and is annoyingly ugly!
Rae: You said it! Why did you build it then?!
Because, I am still getting the hang of all this TS2 shit, give me a break!
One thing I forgot about TS2, the pictures don't stay in order! Ugh, oh well, just means this will take a bit longer.
So after the move in she bird watches for a bit. Or me watched, depending on what you want to take of the situation.
Rae: You have a booger in your nose.
No I don't, quit lying!
Her first visitor showed up, Tiffany Zarubin, the garden club lady. Totally forgot about the garden club!
They got along pretty well while we waited for the welcome wagon. Well for the most part.
Finally the welcome wagon arrives. Gilbert Jaques, Malcolm Landgrabb and Melody Tinker, you know the usual! Rae introduces herself to each one and starts chatting.
At this point I wasn't sure what I was going to do with Rae. I knew I was going to build a town and each get played for a sim week and then switch, but other than that, nothing. Then the matchmaker showed up and I thought, 'Oh why not a random spouse legacy for Rae.' So we spent a whopping $10 and asked for a man! Big spender I know, she only had $31 so that was a lot!
Matchmaker: Bitch, that is it!
Rae: Oh send me someone handsome, that is the last of my money!
Needless to say she wasn't happy with the $10 and couldn't promise a stud.. That is okay, we'll take what we get.
Matchmaker: Don't say I didn't warn you!
Rae: Oh thank you, thank you!
Ummm, well....
It's a teenager, and he's broken. Send him back! Ewww! So that was a waste of $10 we could of used for something else! Rae greeted him anyways just to be nice and we tried to ignore him for the rest of the date.
By this time everyone (Rae) was starving so she headed in to make everyone lunch meat sandwiches. So nice of her! Little boy followed her around like he was a lost puppy.
Then he started letting the other men know that he was the man! Chest bumping caveman style!
Juan: I am on a date with woman, you inferior to me! Ooga Booga!
Gilbert: Kid, are you for real? Get lost.
Rae tried to deter the little twirp by showing her sloppy side. This just cracked him up. Then Malcolm walked right through the fumes and it made him laugh harder.
Juan: That was so hot! I can smell you from here.
Rae: Creep! Go home now!
Burping didn't work, so she thought ignoring him would be better. She proceeded to hang out with Malcolm and then head outside and play catch with him. Juan followed the whole time.
When none of those hints worked, she tried something else.
This led me to come to the conclusion that we were doing an Uglacy and Malcolm was our target. Juan would have been, but well the age thing is just a little too much! At least for now. So Rae kicked it up a notch and made her move. He was quite fine with this.
Rae: You have beautiful.... well, you dance nice!
Malcolm: I love that you see past my monkey face.
After that, Malcolm tried himself to get rid of Juan. The "date" was long over, the little guy can go home now!
Malcolm: Get lost twirp! You have over stayed your welcome! She doesn't do kids!
Juan: I'm seventeen and three quarters, I am hardly a kid. Also, who did she have a date with?
Me: Ugh! Go away!
Didn't work. So Rae started making out with Malcolm again and then told him he stunk and to take a shower. She's so nice!
She had an ulterior motive for him taking a shower. Which was apparent soon after. Even Tiffany wanted to watch! Sick old lady!
Tiffany: Well isn't that special.
Malcolm/Rae: Go away!
All except Juan... the never leaving teenager!
Tired and starving, Rae misses her first day of work in the Military. Instead she burns her food and then falls asleep twice in her cereal bowl. Oops!
She finally eats, heads to bed and sleeps till evening. She then called Malcolm to come over for a visit. He agreed and when he got there he moved in with $23,000. Not a lot, but better than what she had. He didn't however help her pick up the nasty trash all over the ground!
And this is where I left it. I went to give him a makeover and my game crashed due to some male cc. So I spent the rest of the night trying to find it. I did! Wooo!
I know a bit boring so far, but I am still trying to get the hang of this game again. So different from TS3 and all my mods from there! I did enjoy it though, so we'll keep going. Thank you for reading, until next time! Keep Simming!

Good start!
